Breast Cancer in Men
๐Overview
Breast cancer in men is a rare condition that originates in the small amount of breast tissue present in males. Although men have significantly less breast tissue than women, the biological processes of the disease are similar, typically involving the uncontrolled growth of cells that may form a tumor.
This condition is most frequently diagnosed in older men, though it can potentially occur at any age. While it is the same disease process found in women, it occurs much less frequently in the male population.
