๐Overview
This condition begins in the melanocytes, which are the cells that produce melanin to give skin its color. While it is less common than other types of skin cancer, it is considered more dangerous because of its tendency to spread to other organs if not detected early. It often appears as a new mole or a change in an existing mole. Risk factors include UV exposure and family history.
