Wells' syndrome, also known as eosinophilic cellulitis, is a rare inflammatory skin disorder characterized by recurrent, itchy, red, and swollen plaques that resemble cellulitis but are not caused by infection. It is considered a hypersensitivity reaction involving eosinophils in the skin. The term Wells' syndrome is a legacy eponym; the preferred modern term is eosinophilic cellulitis.
